If you depend on Cryptohopper's broader ecosystem and platform-specific features, keeping Cryptohopper may make sense. If your core need is supported Spot automation and you do not want another upfront subscription before your Live automation has realized profit, LabNarrative's Paper-first and Pay when you profit model is designed around that objection.

When Cryptohopper may be the better fit
Cryptohopper is the more natural choice if you rely on its broader ecosystem or specialized workflows that LabNarrative does not currently support. LabNarrative is not trying to win a catalog-size comparison.
If an essential Cryptohopper capability falls outside LabNarrative's supported Spot scope, do not assume it will map.
When LabNarrative may fit better
LabNarrative is most relevant when you want to:
- run supported crypto Spot DCA or strategy automation;
- use supported TradingView alerts as part of the execution workflow;
- test the automation with Paper capital before going Live;
- inspect signals, positions, closed trades and analytics in the same workflow;
- choose simple fixed pricing when you prefer it;
- or choose Pro/Max Pay when you profit with no upfront subscription fee.
The pricing difference
LabNarrative's performance-linked option is designed for the question many bot users ask: why should I pay the full software subscription before I know whether the Live automation will realize any profit? On Pro and Max Pay when you profit, there is no upfront subscription fee. A period without positive net realized PnL produces a $0 LabNarrative performance fee. Positive net realized PnL is owed up to the monthly cap: $39 on Pro or $69 on Max.
Fixed monthly and annual pricing remains available. The performance option simply gives traders another way to pay: Make profit first. Pay us second.
Free Paper-first migration help
If the Pioneer change or subscription cost is making you reconsider Cryptohopper, do not start by cancelling anything. Send one current automation configuration, screenshots or the TradingView rules behind it. We will help identify the supported subset and recreate it in LabNarrative Paper.
- keep the current Cryptohopper workflow running;
- capture the exact rules you want to preserve;
- separate supported logic from platform-specific behavior;
- run the recreation in LabNarrative Paper against new market conditions;
- move Live only if the behavior is good enough for your use case.
Email your first setup to hello@labnarrative.com. We will help recreate the supported workflow in Paper with you.
What does not map one-to-one
LabNarrative is not a Cryptohopper clone. Unsupported strategy types, marketplace-dependent workflows or other platform-specific behavior should be treated as migration boundaries. Start with the exact automation you use and test that—not an abstract feature checklist.
